A. SCOPE OF WORK:
The general scope of the work includes but is not limited to:
1A – General Works: Doors and Hardware, Final Construction Cleaning, Rough Carpentry, Handrails, Specialties, and Prefabricated Aluminum Ramp and Step System.
1B – Aviation Services – Removal and Reinstallation of Jet Bridges and Airfield Striping.
2A – Selective Demolition – Demolition of Exterior Skin and Miscellaneous Structural and Interior Demolition.
3A – Concrete – Concrete Foundations, Slab on grade, Elevated Slabs, Apron Paving, and Elevator and Escalator Pits.
3B –Precast Architectural Concrete: Exterior Precast Architectural Concrete Panels.
4A – Masonry – CMU Exterior and Foundation Block. Installation of Door Frames in Masonry.
5A – Structural Steel – Structural Steel Framing, Bar Joist, and Metal Decking.
6A – Millwork and Countertops – Millwork and Countertops.
7A – Roofing and Metal Panels – Roofing Demolition and Temporary Waterproofing, Standing Seam Roof Replacement, TPO Roofing, and Metal Panels.
7B – Waterproofing – Waterproofing and Expansion Joints.
8A – Overhead Doors – Overhead Coiling Doors.
8B – Glass and Glazing – Storefront and Interior Glass.
9A – Drywall and Framing – Metal Stud Framing and Drywall.

All Subcontractors providing more than $150,000 in services or are engaged in work associated with the building exterior envelope (ex: glazing, masonry veneer, precast, EIFS, waterproofing, roofing, etc.) are required to provide a Bid Bond (AIA A310) in the amount of 5% of the bid amount. Such Subcontractors will also be required to post a Payment & Performance Bond in the amount of the subcontract from a surety with an A.M. Best Company Rating of A- or better. Others may be required to post a bond as well at Robins & Morton’s discretion based on individual facts and circumstances.
Bids must be submitted on project specific Bid Package Form furnished in the bid documents. No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids for a period of seventy (70) days. The Owner reserves the right to reject bids if such action is determined to be in the best interest of the Owner.
This project is exempt from Sales Tax. Contractor’s bids are not to include Sales Tax on permanent materials to be incorporated into the final project.
This project has a goal of utilizing 10.8% Disadvantaged Business Enterprises.
A Pre-bid Conference – A Pre-bid Conference will be held on Wednesday, September 28th, 2022 at 10:00 AM CST at the Huntsville International Airport. 1000 Glenn Hearn Blvd SW, Huntsville, AL 35824.
All interested bidders and their second-tier subcontract bidders are strongly encouraged to attend.
Scope specific site walk throughs will be scheduled with Robins and Morton for the week of October 3rd
