Bid Opportunities

The Huntsville-Madison County Airport Authority (the “Authority”) is soliciting bids to lease property located adjacent to Huntsville International Airport in Huntsville, Alabama for the purpose of farming cotton. The approximate number of acres included in the property to be leased is 3,314 acres (this may vary each year depending on the needs of the Authority). The term of the lease will be from January 1, 2022 until December 31, 2032.

Bids will be received by the Authority at 1000 Glenn Hearn Boulevard, Huntsville, Alabama 35824 until 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 23, 2021. Please contact Ryan Gardner at (256) 258-1201 or for a copy of the Request for Bids. There will be a pre-bid meeting in the Sheraton Four Points Grand Salon, Second Floor, Airport Terminal Building, at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, September 8, 2021, to review the Request for Bids and respond to questions concerning the Request for Bids.
Attendance is highly encouraged for all Bidders.

Each bid must be accompanied by a bank cashier’s check, certified check or Bid Bond made payable to the Huntsville-Madison County Airport Authority in the amount of $10,000.00 as a guarantee that the selected Bidder will, if selected, enter into a Farm Property Lease Agreement with the Authority.

The Huntsville-Madison County Airport Authority reserves the right to waive any informalities, technicalities or irregularities in the bids received, to reject any or all bids, to enter into negotiations with the highest responsive bidder, and to accept any bid deemed advantageous to the Authority. No bidder may withdraw his bid within 90 days after the bid due date.
