Corporate Hangars F & G Project

The Huntsville-Madison County Airport Authority (“Owner”) is requesting separate sealed proposals for the furnishing of all labor, materials, equipment and services for the Corporate Hangars F & G (the “Project”) at Huntsville International Airport, located in Huntsville, Alabama. Bids will be received by Owner at the Airport Engineering & Facilities Building at the Huntsville International Airport, located at 104 Facility Way, Huntsville Alabama 35824 until 2:00PM Central on June 15, 2023, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud in the 2nd Floor Conference Room of said building. All bids must be sealed and marked in the lower left-hand corner “Sealed Bid – Corporate Hangars F & G” with the opening time and date. Bidder must be an Alabama General Contractor licensed by the State Licensing Board for General Contractors for Alabama pursuant to Alabama Code Section 34-8-1, et seq. Only bids of such Contractors who are licensed prior to the date of bid opening will be considered. Bidder must place his/her current license number on the outside of his/her sealed bid or otherwise Bidder’s bid shall be rejected. Any bid received after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids will be returned to the bidder unopened.

The Project will consist of:

  1. Construction of the Corporate Hangars F & G.

There will be a pre-bid conference held at 10:00AM Central on May 30, 2023, in the 2nd Floor Conference Room of the Airport Engineering & Facilities Building at Huntsville International Airport, 104 Facility Way, Huntsville, Alabama 35824. Attendance at the meeting is highly recommended for all prime contractors and major subcontractors.

Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond or certified check in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total contract amount, as shown on the proposal form, which shall be made payable to Owner and shall be subject to the conditions set forth in the bid documents. A performance bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price and a labor and material payment bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price will be required.

Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities, technicalities or irregularities in the bids received, to reject any or all bids, and to enter into negotiations with the lowest responsive bidder. No bidder may withdraw his bid within 90 days after the actual date of bid opening.
