SECURITY SYSTEM SERVER UPGRADE PROJECT
The Huntsville-Madison County Airport Authority (“Owner”) is requesting separate sealed proposals for the furnishing of all labor, materials, equipment and services for the SECURITY SYSTEM SERVER UPGRADE PROJECT (the “Project”) at the Port of Huntsville, located at 1000 Glenn Hearn Blvd SW, Huntsville, Alabama 35824. Bids must be submitted by email to Ted Dawson, Information Systems Manager, at tdawson@hsvairport.org, no later than 5:00 p.m. CT on May 1, 2024. Bidder must be an Alabama General Contractor licensed by the State Licensing Board for General Contractors for Alabama pursuant to Alabama Code Section 34-8-1, et seq. Only bids from such Contractors who are licensed prior to the date of bid opening will be considered. Bidder must place his/her current license number in the subject line of the email or otherwise Bidder’s bid shall be rejected. Any bid received after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids will be rejected. Pre-qualification of bidders is not required.
Bidders are required to be a member of Avigilon’s Motorola Solutions Video Security and Access Control partner network. Bidders who are not a member of said partner network at the time bids are due will be considered unqualified and their bids will be rejected.
Electronic copies of the complete Request for Proposals, including the technical specifications, may be obtained at no cost by emailing Ted Dawson. Any questions related to the Request for Proposals and other Contract Documents shall be submitted to Mr. Dawson by email with a copy to Amy Murphree, Chief Legal Officer, at amurphree@hsvairport.org.
The Project will consist of providing all labor and equipment necessary to upgrade Owner’s existing Avigilon server and software platforms to facilitate the licensing of new cameras that the existing platforms do not support, in accordance with technical specifications prepared by Avigilon.
Bid bonds, payment bonds, and performance bonds are not required on this Project.
This project is anticipated to be financed through a grant from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and will be subject to all requirements of the FAA as of the time the contract is awarded, including the federally required contract clauses to be made part of the contract documents for the Project. Contractors and subcontractors working on this Project will be required to use E-Verify to electronically verify the employment eligibility of their employees. Award is contingent upon the availability of Federal funds. This Project is also subject to compliance with the Alabama Immigration Act.
Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities, technicalities or irregularities in the bids received, to reject any or all bids, and to enter into negotiations with the lowest responsive bidder. Attention of bidders is particularly called to the requirements of the Federal Aviation Administration, which pertain to this project, and to the conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under the Contract. No bidder may withdraw his bid within 90 days after the actual date of bid opening.
